Nice video and and advice for the spacing. I have a 60 year old band saw at my work and it's such a burden trying to get it to cut straight. I think I've talked my boss into getting a setup similar to yours and now I will be able to cut angles as well.

Its not a Makita knock off, its just a cheap unbranded tool, which happens to be quite good, i have one of these. Makita is probably made in China as well so are the batteries, everything comes from China nowadays.

You can buy a hook and loop conversion disc for the circular disc. This will allow you you to use normal 150mm sanding discs and change grits to your heart's content rather than melting the bloody glue and stripping it off of the disc every few weeks.

I used the Lenox plier wrench variant and they were decent, sloppy af and seemed to be assembled in the dark but they worked ok so I bought the Lenox cobra copy and have been using them for a few 18 months or so and they’re decent but I will say the materials used and build quality is night and day…the teeth on the Lenox raptor clone have worn so much it’s almost unbelievable for the little amount of work they’ve put in, basically the alloy they’re using in the Lenox is just garbage and wears way way faster…. my cobras teeth look damn near new after two years, the edges of the teeth are just slightly rolled over and the Lenox are toast, barely grip anymore and look like they’ve filled down so if you plan on using them regularly…better to just bite the bullet and buy once cry once cuz the difference is night and day imo

if you applied this coating to a mesh and then poured an oil-water mixture over it, would the oil go through the mesh still and the water be repelled? Is this coating oleophillic?

Been using these with a pneumatic drill and rotarbroach for the last 2 years on a gas rig. Still can't believe no one seems to use them in mining. Mag drills are still better when you can use them, but these are a life saver in other situations.

You need to use bronze rods to braze with, you can't braze with aluminum rods.

Is there risk to ruining the newer style batteries if I remove he my as one comment said? Batteries are damn expensive so wouldn’t be worth it if there’s a chance of killing newer style batteries?

my light is strobing when i turn it on, it used to stop strobing after a minute, then two, then five, then ten... now it doesnt seem to stop at all. i gave up for a week but i shouldnt keep using the pathetic desk light ive put in its place. i hope this has a lead

Used bosch professional grinders in the past and them anti vibration handles are great. Suggest anyone with a grinder to invest a few quid in one as most grinders use the same thread for handle attachments

aluminium is a good conductor of heat. heat the job just to the side of the join so you can rub the brazing rod on the job out of the main flame. braze tends to flow towards the flame/more heated area. turn your map flame down for thinner materials. propane works. aluminium is very reactive and oxidises really fast (21% oxygen in the air) so prep thoroughly by sanding/stainless wire brush etc to expose unoxidised metal and heat to the sweet spot temperature quickly and braze promptly. If it fails to flow easily and quickly then let it cool and prep surface again as the surface may have reoxidised. practice on similar scrap. first. my first attempts were terrible.

Use cutting fluid when cutting thick bar and you should be fine mate. I always wondered about putting a stone blade in my flexvolt dewalt mitre saw but since its a 1200 quid saw I've never had the balls to do it. I am tempted to make a clamp and arm that I can attach a cheap large angle grinder to and make a solid guard so that I can cut through steel as though it's a mitre saw!
